About the undefined. About photography, about writing, about light, about shadows. About the high keys of a written page, about the depth of shadows freshly revealed. About elegies of reality distilled by deceitful stones. About the desire of walking asymmetrically between writing and photography, between the universe of the impossible and the necessity of the imagination.
About Giacomo Por, purportedly born in April 1969. He looks at landscapes with his head turned backwards. He sees the eyes of inverted shadows. He dreams with his head hanging down. He despairs with his head held high. Someone changed an inscription that haste had suggested to him. Not orthodox, not orthogonal. In a hurry, but in no rush.
Nobody thus far has convinced him of the necessity of not seeing. Moreover, he suspects that playing with silk and dust renders eternal. He worships the majesty of that which has no end. He habitually resides on a cloud of gold, between the invisible hours and the shadows of those puppets he wrenches from the earth. More, for the moment, he cannot reveal.
But powder in silence.
Giacomo Por gratefully thanks Giagi Copia, Rino Platania, Dario Toscano, Luca De Blasio, Sara Fusco, Pino Freda, and all the friends at Factoria for their help, creative insight and support in creating this asymmetrical space.
